What are Soapberries?
Soapnuts are fruit shells from the Sapindus Mukorossi tree that grows around the Himalayas regions. From organic cultures, the shell is harvested from the ripe fruit, then dried and shelled to present itself in the most suitable form for the release of the famous plant saponin. This molecule has a real foaming and washing power which is expressed perfectly in free water, in particular in the drum of the washing machine from 30 ° C, which is what makes these nuts famous as ecological detergent. Soap nuts can also be used as a decoction as an ecological detergent for all kinds of cosmetic or household applications.
Soap nuts/ Soap Berries removes dirt from clothing - it is not only highly effective but also gentle. Because it is mild and natural, it preserves the colours and the structure of your valuable clothing longer than chemical detergents.

Other uses for Soapberries
Multi-purpose cleaner
Put a handful of soapberries in 500 ml of hot water and boil the mixture for 10-15 minutes. Allow to cool, strain and add liquid to an empty spray bottle. This can be used to clean your house from top to bottom - including windows. You can add few drops of essential oil (optional). Dispose of shells in compost.
Relaxing/Cleansing Bath
Place 3 or 4 soapberries in a cotton bag and put the bag in your hot bath water for 5 minutes. If you feel like it, you can add a few drops of your favourite essential oil.
Shampoo
Place 3 to 5 soapberries in 500ml of water. Boiled the mixture. Let it cool. Apply on your hair. The shampoo will not lather as you may be used to but it will clean your hair. PLEASE KEEP AWAY FROM THE EYES.
