Kitchen beauty - easy skincare recipe with ingredients you find in the kitchen

Updated: Jul 12, 2021

Besides giving me her beautiful blue eyes, my mum also gave me her sensitive and reactive skin. You can be sure that if I forget to remove my makeup and clean my face properly one night, my skin will be awful for at least a week with redness, dry spots and pimples! It is why I can't use foundation and I have to be really cautious about the products I use on my skin.

The good thing is that over time my mum and I found some natural beauty rituals to appease our skin.

Coffee grounds - A great exfoliator

Use your morning coffee grounds to stimulate your skin and eliminate dead skin cells. After washing my face with one of my natural facial soaps, once a week I massage my face with the warm coffee grounds I just used. I just rinse it with water and my skin feels so smooth. Rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, coffee grounds have amazing anti-aging properties, they boost elastin and collagen production.

Chia seed

I grind chia seed with hot water and I apply the mixture, on my clean skin like a facial mask. I leave it 10-15 min and rinse it with water. Chia seed is rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium and iron essential to nourish your skin and boost its elasticity.

Oats and Banana or Avocado or both ;)

If you eat oats in the morning is perfect, you just have to save a bit of the mixture add some mushed banana or avocado or both and apply it as a mask. Oats are amazing when it comes to soothing and relieving irritated skin. And the fruits (you can actually put any fruit you like) are rich in vitamins and fruit acid which are great to nourish your skin as well as reduce wrinkles and soften the skin.

If you have any recipe you want to share please leave comments, I'd love to try it !!
